Being Open To Finding True Love

What if the love of your life shows up and he or she comes from a different race? Would you go for it? These days, dating expats are now more common than ever and many people have become accepting of such relations. However, there are still a few who cannot accept that love knows no boundaries like race or age.

Today, interracial dating has become mainstream due to the advent of internet and various dating sites. More and more people want to ask themselves the question, how can I find true love? and if they can’t find it in their own race, then the answer probably lies in being with someone from a different race. In a study, it was shown that Blacks are twice as likely as whites to be in a multi-cultural union while Hispanics fall in between. Many of these men are curious to find out what it is like to be with someone from a different race.

About 94% of people who are born from 1977 completely agree that it’s alright for people to date someone from outside their race. In fact, Britain has 40% of their black men who are married to white women. This is not to say that interracial relationships happen only to black men and white women (and vice versa), there are many other cultures who have become more open and welcoming to the union of races.

A good example of this are Asians who have migrated from their country of origin to Western parts of the world. These are women who are more open to dating outside their race even if they come from families who might not be as accepting as they are. Many Asian dating expats have experienced some form of disapproval from some of their family members  one way or the other. Yet, the most important thing for interracial unions is the couple’s love for each other.

We live in a modern world where everyday, humans find ways to be connected to each other. Even scientists have now discovered that our genetic make-up is composed of tiny bits of races from around the world. The very testament that you shouldn’t judge a person by the color of his skin. Instead, focus on whether this person from another race makes you happy and makes you a better person. By doing this, you just might be able to answer the question, how can I find true love?

I don’t think race should ever matter. Two people fall in love, they spend the rest of their lives together…it is a simple formula…let’s not overthink it. However, I do believe that a relationship works better when the two people have similar backgrounds(not skin color). Values, upbringing, education…it helps when these things are somewhat similar.

That is true, Heather. While living in New York, I have seen Jewish people who were indeed following the tradition of getting to know only fellow Jewish. However, I have also seen mixed marriage. A Catholic friend married a Jewish man.

  5. Lorii says:

That is correct, Olga. Everything is fast-paced nowadays. Getting to know the other person has been quick too. Such can take a toll to singles if they do things hastily.

Great article; both my son an daughter are waiting for the right one to come into their life. Dating is very sensitive subject; I have seen so many men and women hurt by it because they get sometimes too emotionally involved too soon. Thanks!!!

  21. Heather says:

Race doesn’t matter to me at all. But religion does. If I were single, I’d only be dating fellow Jewish people. It hadn’t occurred to me that people could feel JUST as strongly about race. I have a good friend (white) who just married a wonderful black man and they are extremely happy together. What’s interesting is that she has 2 ex husbands— both also black. She’s never been attracted to her own race— I’m not sure she’s EVER dated a white man! Great article.

I have worked with dating online for a while and interracial dating sites are very popular in the U.S. I have found people of small minority groups have for success with their dating when they join a niche site designed for dating out side their race or people that are attracted to a certain race. It’s very interesting work. Thanks for sharing these tips with your readers because it’s true! I have have years of data to back it up!
